PRESS ASSOCIATION -- Arnold Schwarzenegger is writing his memoirs and has signed a publishing deal for next year.
The bodybuilder, actor, former California governor and estranged husband of Maria Shriver has an agreement with Simon & Schuster to publish in October 2012.
According to Simon & Schuster, the book's working title is Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story.
Schwarzenegger is collaborating with Peter Petre, who has worked on best sellers by former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan and first Iraq war General Norman Schwarzkopf.
Schwarzenegger began the book last year.
Financial terms were not disclosed. The publisher is billing the book as "a larger-than-life portrait of his illustrious, controversial and ever-entertaining life in and out of the public eye".
