'Frisky' Medic Students Caught Performing Sex Act In A Hospital

Two medical students who were caught on CCTV performing a sex act at a hospital prompted a senior university academic to send a round-email telling students to "find a more comfortable place" in future.

The students, from Southampton University, were discovered having oral sex by a member of the hospital's clinic skills team. They were caught in the education block of Southampton General Hospital after their moment of passion was recorded on camera.

As a result, all medical students at the university received an email from Southampton's director of education Dr Chris Stephens. The email, which was then published by a student website, stated the two second-years were getting "a bit frisky" on the sofas outside a lecture theatre at the hospital, which "caused offence" to the member of staff who found them.

"You need to remember you are in a hospital and need to act in a professional manner," he added.

"Find a more comfortable place that is out of public view and off NHS property if you want to perform oral sex on each other."

The dean of the university's faculty of medicine released a statement saying the allegations were currently being investigated.

"They were seen in a publicly-accessible location where medical students were timetabled in. We remind our students of their responsibility to abide by university rules regarding student behaviour."
