Strictly Come Dancing star Artem Chigvintsev has been visiting doctors to see whether he will miss a further edition of the dance show.
The professional, who partners Holly Valance, is due to find out on Thursday whether his back injury will again force to him to sit out the show.
Artem had at one stage been diagnosed with a spinal fracture, but a further opinion revealed he was suffering a joint and soft tissue injury.
He was replaced by Brendan Cole for last week's show, which resulted in a score of 34 for his and Holly's Rumba.
Artem has continued to choreograph the routines and has been on hand at rehearsals, ready to step in if he gets the last-minute go-ahead.
A show spokesman said a decision was expected on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Strictly favourite Harry Judd has been added to the line-up of next year's live tour. Anita Dobson and Robbie Savage from this year's series are also to take part in addition to Jason Donovan, Nancy Dell'Olio And Chelsee Healey, who have already been announced.
