Prepare for beehives, Bolly and bubbles as new episodes of BBC comedy Absolutely Fabulous catapult degenerate duo Eddie and Patsy onto TV screens once more.
Fashion addict Edina Monsoon, played by Jennifer Saunders and alcoholic best friend Patsy Stone, played by Joanna Lumley, will reunite with original cast members Jane Horrocks, Julia Sawalha and June Whitfield for three episodes of the hit comedy due to be aired at Christmas.
Despite nearly 20 years passing since the beginning of the series, the cast look barely a day older.
The new episodes, penned by Saunders during her recovery from breast cancer, will be a treat for 'Ab Fab' fans, who last caught a glimpse of the outrageous characters in a 2005 Comic Relief Special.
Followers of the show have longtime giggled at Patsy’s sloshed slurring (Eddie: "What are you drinking darling?" Patsy: "Chanel No. 5") and Eddie’s slavish adherence to fashion (“La Croix sweetie, La Croix.”)
There are also rumours of an Absolutely Fabulous film, with Patsy and Eddie marooned on a luxury yacht.
"We thought it would be hilarious if [Edina and Patsy] went to a party on an oligarch’s yacht, got drunk, fell asleep and woke up in the middle of the ocean," Jennifer Saunders said recently.
