Frankie Cocozza: 'If I Hadn't Got My Bum Out, I Wouldn't Be Sitting Here Now' (INTERVIEW)

INTERVIEW: Frankie Cocozza Talks Women, Partying And Getting His Bum Out

X Factorreject Frankie Cocozza was booted off the show after admitting to taking cocaine but refuses to change his partying ways. In an interview with Heat magazine, the tousled-haired headline-grabber explains why he acted the way he did and the truth behind his womanising ways...

Do you think Gary should have put you through?

No. Not for my talent. If I hadn't got my bum out in the first audition, I wouldn't be sitting here now. I know that.

Towards the end of your time on the show, you didn't seem to want to be there anyway…

I was embarrassing myself every Saturday. I knew I couldn't sing. I was seeing people like Sophie [Habibis] and The Risk go and I just knew that wasn't right. I let down the people who supported me. It's horrible thinking about it. I feel so bad for everyone who picked up the phone.

Did you ever think you could actually win the show?

Never. I was always in shock that I was still in the competition. I couldn't believe it because I struggle believing in myself. I literally just couldn't get my head around being in the show. I just didn't think that I was worth it.

Do you think you deliberately went out on "self-destruct"?

I don't know. I think I'm just a twat, if I'm being honest. I dealt with being embarrassed in front of the country by going out and getting wasted. It was a shitload of pressure and I obviously couldn't handle it.

Did you feel supported by The X Factor? Didn't anyone say they were worried about you?

There were people to talk to, but I just didn't use them. I bottled it all up inside. But I was really embarrassed by some of the clothes I was put in and the fact that I was dressed up to be a rock star. I just felt stupid.

So, are you really the "party boy" as you've been presented?

It was going away to Malia [a resort on the Greek island of Crete] that did it. I was shagging every night. You're expected to do it out there. I haven't changed.

You were reported as snogging Amelia Lily in a car park one night, then taking another girl down there while Amelia was in tears over you. What happened?

Me and Amelia were blown way out of proportion. We were more mates than anything and had a laugh in the house.

Did you ever have sex with her?

No.

So, what did happen? Why was she in tears?

Amelia and I were just friends. We were very close, but just as friends. We didn't snog.

Do you think you should slow down?

Probably, but I'm young and having fun. From the very beginning, when I showed my bum [at the first audition], I never pretended to be anything else.

The papers made out you were out every night. Were you?

No, the worst week I had was when I went out two nights in one week. It wasn't as bad as everyone thought.

Who do you fancy more: Kelly or Tulisa?

I fancy Kelly more. I wouldn't have the bottle to try it on with Tulisa. She's fierce as f**k. She's really scary!

How would you rate yourself in bed out of ten?

Twelve and a half!

How many women have you shagged?

Seventy one. I do keep count. Seven since the first live show.

How old were you when you had your first shag? What was it like?

I was 12 and didn't know what I was doing.

How many girls' phone numbers do you have?

About 100.

What's your secret?

F**k knows!

Do you always wear a condom? Have you been checked for an STI?

Yes, I am always a good boy, and very careful.

Have you ever worried about some girl saying that they're having your baby?

Yeah, that would be the worst thing in the world.

This week's heat magazine is on sale now (Tuesday).
