Katie Price To Pay Peter Andre Damages After She Claimed He Was Unfaithful

Katie Price To Cough Up Damages To Peter Andre

Katie Price has agreed to pay undisclosed libel damages to her ex-husband Peter Andre, over her claims that he was unfaithful to her.

The glamour model and reality TV star has also made a public apology to singer Andre over the cheating claims and her statement that he wasn't genuine in his feelings for her son Harvey.

Andre accepted the apology from Price in conclusion of London High Court proceedings and has said he will pay the damages into a trust fund for Harvey.

It seems the bitter battle between the former couple is finally beginning to thaw, although neither made an appearance at the court to hear the ruling.

Andre is currently in Australia after appearing in I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! - the place where the couple first met.

Before he left for the jungle, Price tweeted him a cryptic message, while wishing him luck:

The couple, who divorced in October 2009, have a son and a daughter together - Junior and Princess Tiaamii - while Harvey is Price's daughter from her relationship with footballer Dwight Yorke.

Andre originally took legal action against Price over interviews she gave to Heat magazine in October 2009 and on The Graham Norton Show in the same month.

Andre's solicitor Mike Brookes said after the hearing: "Mr Andre brought these proceedings because his relationship with his children and his reputation are important to him, which Ms Price understands.

"Mr Andre and Ms Price are pleased that they have reached a compromise to the proceedings and they now wish to put this matter behind them in the interests of their children."

Price's solicitor, Keith Ashby, told the judge: "I confirm what has been said by Mr Brookes, that Ms Price regrets making the comments she made and she is very happy to confirm - as she has said publicly before - that Mr Andre has been a good father to Harvey and has demonstrated his love for him on many occasions.

"Ms Price is pleased that she and Mr Andre have been able to put this litigation behind them in the interests of their children."
