Lady Gaga's forthcoming single about the death of Princess Diana is said to be inspired by the singer's belief that she will die the same way.
The Marry The Night singer reportedly wrote the track after dubbing the royal a "martyr for fame".
"She knows she is almost as recognisable as Diana and is hounded by photographers and fans on the same level.
"Gaga has had dreams about dying the same way as her and has genuine fears that her fame could literally kill her, either in a chase or at the hands of crazies."
Gaga isn't the first star to compare herself to the late princess. Last year, glamour model Katie Price also courted controversy when she said she feared dying like Diana.
Speaking on LBC 97.3, she said: "Sometimes I think it might be a Diana moment because the way the press chase me outside my house and try and run me off the road.
"It wouldn't surprise me if it's a car crash and I always say that."
