A hot new version of Twitter is ready to be unleashed.
The new design makes it easier to view and organise your favourite tweets, better organises conversations and helps you discover new content that follows your interests.
Twitter was only today proved to be a positive force during the UK summer riots, and has approximately 100,000,000 users.
In the new design, the home section collates tweets from the people you follow. The connect section organises conversations, and all your ego-boosting activity like re-tweets and mentions.
A new Tweet button means its easier to broadcast just how hungry you are, how LOL something is or isn't, or what you ate for breakfast.
Jack Dorsey, Twitter chairman, said during a press conference the redesign makes “Twitter more accessible for all 7 billion people on the planet", according to The New Web.
He added it “simpler not just for people already engaged but easier for new people to discover it and find value in it. It’s the best place to represent yourself on the Internet.”
The press event was held in Twitter's new headquarters in Silicon Valley.
Naturally, Twitter users have taken to Twitter to express their love, or hate, for the new design.
@AMc, Andrew McClain, tweeted "Keyboard shortcuts are amazing on the new twitter. '?' #letsfly".
@emilychang, Emily Chang, tweets "just found this by accident in the new twitter for iphone: swipe left on the me icon to switch accounts! #newnewTwitter".
@klaaspieter, Klaas Pieter Annema, tweets "Decided to try the new @twitter app for a while. Will definitely switch back to @tweetbot when a decent desktop client supports Tweet Marker"
@holymoly, Jamie East, writes "I don't know what I'm more confused about. New twitter or the end of the Julian Barnes book "The Sense Of An Ending".
