It's a Spanish tradition that hidden in a nativity scene, there's a 'caganer' or 'pooper' -- a character bending down as though taking a poop. We're not sure why, there just is.
But in recent years, the poopers -- which date back to the 15th century -- have been made to look like famous faces (and rears) such as world leaders and celebrities.
And this year, Prince William And Kate Middleton have the honour of joining the esteemed ranks of poopers on offer, which also include Nicolas Sarkozy, Barack Obama, the Dalai Lama and the Pope (or should that be the Poop?).
In total there are around 250 caganers produced, and whether they're famous sports personalities or movie stars, they all have one thing in common...their trousers round their ankles.
A spokesperson for makers, the Catalan workshop Caganer.com, told BigPondNews: "We've always based our creations on the saying 'The King poops, the Pope poops and everybody who eats, poops'.
"We create a lot of characters because we all do that. It is something we just need to do, therefore we recreate it."
