Police searching for a teenager who went missing after a Christmas Party have found a body matching his description.
Haydn Mark Evans, 18, from Mold, North Wales, was reported missing on December 17 after leaving a Christmas party at Carden Park Hotel in Broxton, on the outskirts of Chester.
His distraught family made a number of impassioned appeals for information about his disappearance.
But Cheshire Police said underwater search teams had found the body of a man in a lake at Carden Park and the description and clothing matched that of Mr Evans.
A spokeswoman for Cheshire Police said the body was found yesterday afternoon.
He said: "The description and clothing of the deceased matches that of missing North Wales teenager Haydn Evans although formal identification has not yet taken place."
"At this stage of the investigation there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances."
A post-mortem will be carried out today.
Police search teams, supported by Lowland Search and Rescue teams, underwater search units, dog patrols and air support, had been combing the area of the A41 around Broxton since Mr Evans vanished.
In a statement from Mr Evans' family released earlier this week, they said: "Christmas has passed and Haydn's presents remain unopened and none of us can even consider celebrating this Christmastime whilst he is still missing."
