On 12 January (i.e. NOW) famous department store Selfridges is launching Words Words Words - a celebration of all things library, book and word.
As part of the event the Oxford Street store will be transforming its UltraLounge (that's the big temporary event space on the lower ground floor if you're familiar with Selfridges) into an interactive library space.

It won't be a "Shhhhh!" type of library though as you can expect to find (and participate in) classes and lectures from The Idler Academy and publishing platform It's Nice That, handwriting analysis sessions, storytelling workshops and book clubs. Oh, and a curated selection of 15,000 books from the publishing houses of Penguin, Taschen, Faber and Thames & Hudson plus audiobooks and iPads loaded with yet more titles.

From the schedule of events the ones we're most looking forward to are...
Words as Images talk (Thurs 9 Feb)
Handwriting Analysis Workshop (various dates)
Coffee Culture lecture (Thurs 26 Jan)
Make Your Own Book lesson (3 and 24 Feb)
Lecture on Love Letters (14 Feb - Valentine's Day of course!)
Not forgetting the It's Nice That Word-A-Coaster window display - a mini rollercoaster dispensing predictions for 2012!
And to top it all off there's a wealth of word-themed shopping opportunities. You can see our top picks in the gallery below:
BONUS FACT: In case you were wondering, the title of the event is a neat Shakespeare reference - Hamlet in conversation with Polonius to be precise!
