A US man has allegedly murdered two people who "de-friended" his daughter on Facebook, leaving their baby daughter orphaned.
Marvin Potter Jr is alleged to have killed Billy Payne Jr and girlfriend Billie Jean Hayworth in Mountain City, Tennessee, after they de-friended his daughter on the social networking site.
The baby girl was found sobbing in her mother's arms, police told AFP.
Huffington Post US reporter Michael McLaughlin was told by Johnson County Sheriff Mike Reece: "If you deleted her, they [Potter and her parents] started harassing you. If you ran into them in the grocery store, you had an altercation with them. It was an ongoing thing with these people."
ABC News reports that two people, Marvin Potter, 60, and Jamie Curd, 38, have been charged with first degree murder.
Reuters reports that both victims received gunshots to the head and Payne Jr had his throat cut.
In the UK in 2010, a young woman was murdered after a convicted sex offender used Facebook to lure her to her death.
