The Borderlands 2 trailer has just been released, tempting gamers with a potential June 2012 release.
The new edition will be the first update to the space shooter since the 2007 release of the original Borderlands.
The Borderlands blog promises a "bigger, better and more badass," game with new characters, skills, weapons and environments.
All the new features take place in the world of Pandora, where you are tasked with taking down Handsome Jack and the corrupt Hyperion Corporation.
Solo and fourplayer mode are in the mix.
"The addictive gameplay and shooting and looting mayhem of the first Borderlands is back and better than ever in Borderlands 2, taking the franchise to an entirely new level," said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. "With more guns, more enemies, more missions, an engaging story and all-new characters, Borderlands 2 promises to bring a new era to gaming this fall."
