Peter Andre Races To Cancer-Stricken Brother's Bedside

Pete Rushes To See Sick Brother

Peter Andre has jetted Down Under to be at his brother's bedside after he was diagnosed with cancer.

The singer dropped his work commitments after hearing his eldest sibling Andrew had been struck down with stomach cancer.

He flew to his Aussie homeland last week and has been supporting his devastated family ever since.

A friend of the pop star tells The Sun: "Pete has been knocked for six by this.

"He found out last week that Andrew was ill with cancer and that it was actually really serious.

"He was in Africa but once he got back to England he flew straight out to Oz to be with his family. He's left the kids with Katie and has told them that he'll hopefully be back next week.

"His other brother, Michael, has gone out there too. It's a real nightmare for everyone. Pete is so upset and worried for Andrew."

According to the newspaper, Andrew, 52, will undergo surgery in a bid to remove the tumours.

The source adds: "Andrew is seriously ill and while the doctors have acted quickly by locating the cancer and making plans to operate, nothing is being taken for granted. It's a very tense time indeed."
