Demolition Of 83-Year-Old Ohio Bridge Is Dramatic, Explosive (VIDEO)

Footage Of Bridge Demolition Is An Electrifying Watch

After 83 years of hard and loyal service, the Fort Steuben bridge in Ohio had to go - and had to go dramatically.

Kablooming into the Ohio river that seperates the great mid-western state with another great midwestern state - that'll be West Virginia, then - its momentuous destruction was recorded on HD cameras and now has been uploaded to YouTube.

Requiring 70kg (150lbs) of explosives, the failing bridge spanned 460 metres during its active service but now spans approximately, um, zero.

As for why it deserved to be destroyed, well, that was down to some worn-away supports that were first noticed back in 2009. So there you go, now you know.
