When Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied turned up to Sunday's Oscars wearing what looked like wedding bands, tongues were set wagging about whether the couple had married in secret.
The duo - who met on the set of Black Swan - announced their engagement in December 2010 at the same time they announced they were expecting their son.
And now a ring designer has come forward to confirm reports that the pair are now man and wife.
"I designed the rings worn by Benjamin Millepied and Natalie Portman," Hollywood ring designer Jamie Wolf told Us Weekly magazine. "They were made with recycled platinum and conflict free diamonds."
Benjamin's was on full view as he walked the red carpet at the Vanity Fair after party, while Natalie's was slightly more concealed but still visible as it sat alongside her diamond engagement ring.
The couple have kept their relationship out of the public eye since getting together, so it would be of little surprise if they have chosen to keep news of their union a secret.
Upon their engagement Natalie told Entertainment Weekly: "I have always kept my private life private but I will say that I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience."
No details about the couple's ceremony have yet been officially revealed.
