Ex-Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has warned Andre Villas-Boas' successor it will be "hell" at Stamford Bridge.
Scolari, like Villas-Boas, was sacked during the course of the season amid reports that certain squad members did not subscribe to his football philosophy.
The Brazilian coach, who led his nation to a World Cup win in 2002, blamed Blues owner Roman Abramovich for the mess the club is in.
"England has clubs like Arsenal, where Arsene Wenger has been for several years, yet has won only two or three championships, but Chelsea's culture is very different," said Scolari.
"Some things are known, like the relations with the chairman, who has the relationship with some players before the coach. Villas-Boas was a champion and he will continue to be. He needed to replace at least seven or eight players, even since I was there, but he failed," BBC Sport reported.
When will the time be right for Fernando Torres?
Scolari was speaking at a news conference for Palmeiras, where he is currently coach at, where he reflected on his spell in English football in 2008/09.
He managed In west London for just seven months - one less than Villas-Boas - and was fired after a 0-0 draw away at Hull City followed a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.
Villas Boas lost seven league games during his brief era in the Stamford Bridge hot seat - the same amount that Chelsea lost in 78 games under Jose Mourinho.
A flagging Premier League campaign, elimination to Liverpool in the League Cup, and a first leg 3-1 defeat to Napoli in the Champions League round-of-16 tie have prompted Abramovich to pull the trigger.
However figures within English football have pointed the finger of blame at Chelsea players as well as Abramovich.
Bookmakers William Hill have made Jose Mourinho and Rafael Benitez joint favourites at 5/2, interi coach Roberto Di Matteo is at 5/1 while Pep Guardiola and Fabio Capello are available at 6/1.
