World famous London landmarks are reflected in the still waters of the majestic River Thames in these eye-catching pictures.

Revealing the gothic charm of the Palace of Westminster and the modern day simplicity of the nearly completed Shard, the pictures are a snapshot of architectural history along London's famous waterway.

Taken at twilight and daybreak, photographer Panus Assawirojrueng, 39, captured the grandeur of St Paul's set against the Millennium Bridge.

Panus took advantage of the mild UK winter to highlight the iconic riverside buildings sitting at the urban heart of the famous 215-mile waterway.

"We've had clear skies and not so much fog and wind," said Panus, who lives in Newbury Town.

"It me to create my reflection pictures to show London as a city with classic and modern styles of architecture.

"Along the river you can witness the Houses of Parliament and then just downstream the gigantic Shard which will be the tallest building in Europe when created."

Having only just begun his reflection photography, Panus is excited by the prospect of documenting the entire length of London's buildings in the Thames.

"There are plenty of places that I have not had the chance to complete yet," said Panus.

"The pictures are tricky to capture and I am only available at weekends to photograph the twilight and daybreak scenarios.

"My major enemy is rain, because that breaks up the mirror like qualities that the Thames takes on when everything is quiet and still in the capital."

Inspired by comments he has received on the internet, Panus feels that the Thames is the real star of London.

"It is the lifeblood of the city and a wonder to photograph."
