Adele is going all Hollywood and embarking on a serious fitness regime in a bid to drop two dress sizes.
The singer kick started her quest to get fit last year by ditching the cigarettes after she was warned she was at risk of losing her prize asset - her voice.
She had to undergo surgery on her vocal chords and seemed to shift several pounds during her recovery, and showed off a more slimline figure at the Grammys and Brit Awards last month.
Now she is determined to get in shape and has even hired a personal trainer to push her to the limits.
A source told The Sun: "Adele has found so much more energy now she's quit smoking. She really wants to get healthier, now that she's half-way there.
According to the newspaper, her close pal Alan Carr introduced her to the muscle-building exercise.
The shift to a healthier life comes after fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld labelled the star "a little too fat" and the nasty swipe was much derided by Adele's fans - including fitness-fanatic Madonna.
She threw her support behind the star, saying: "That's horrible. That's ridiculous, that's just the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
"I don't like it when anybody says anything bad about anyone - I don't like it. Adele's a great talent and how much she weighs has nothing to do with it."
