Now that Russell Brand has got a new lady in his life, he's keen to rid every trace of ex-wife Katy Perry, even if that means going through physical pain.
The comedian was spotted a few days ago visiting a tattoo parlour in Hollywood with new squeeze Nikolett Barabas, but it has now been revealed that the real reason for his visit was to remove the matching tattoo he had inked with Katy, according to Hollywood Life.
The pair had the Sanskrit tattoos done on the inside of their right arms shortly after they got engaged in 2010.
According to Russell, the inking - which reads "Anuugacchati Pravaha" meaning "go with the flow" - was all Katy's idea anyway.
He told chat show host Jimmy Kimmel in December before the couple announced their separation:
"It was her idea. It's always her idea. She's always scribbling permanent things on my body for a laugh," he said.
The news comes just days after Nikolett confirmed the pair's relationship to American magazine Life & Style.
“He's amazing, so funny; he's beautiful,” she said backstage at one of his stand up gigs last week.
“I like being with him; he’s amazing, so amazing. He’s a good person.”
WHO'S TAT IS THAT?
