David Lynch’s work is known for being dark, disturbed and sinister. And his latest music video is no exception.
Featuring a mohawked punk setting fire to his hair, American footballers and a gyrating topless stripper, the video for Crazy Clown Time from the director's debut LP will leave you uneasy and probably a bit freaked out, (much like Blue Velvet and Twin Peaks did, we expect).
Lynch himself describes the setting for the video as: “An intense psychotic backyard craziness, fuelled by beer”.
The album, released via Sunday Best Recordings/ PIAS America on 8 November 2011, was recorded over a year at his own studio with engineer Dean Hurley, who also plays guitar and drums.
Scroll down for footage of Lynch, a self-described "non-musician", in the studio playing his twisted tunes while dressed in an unassuming cardigan and spectacles.
Twitter reaction has been positive so far, but even Lynch fans are agreement the master of the macabre's latest offering will probably give you nightmares.
