Kyle Hall, 10, Missing: Police Appeal For Information On Birmingham Boy

Police Appeal Over Missing 10-Year-Old Boy Who Went Out To Play

Police have issued an urgent appeal to trace a 10-year-old boy who was reported missing by his mother late last night.

Kyle Hall, from Smethwick, near Birmingham, has not been seen since Tuesday afternoon after leaving his home to go out to play, West Midlands Police said.

Detective Inspector Mick Spellman, from West Midlands Police Public Protection Unit, said: "We are very concerned for Kyle's safety given the fact that he is so young and that he has been missing overnight.

"Officers from across the force have joined in the search for the lad and we are now asking members of the public to help us.

"I would urge local people to take a look at Kyle's photograph and see if they recognise him."

Police said officers from across the West Midlands were drafted in last night to help with the search for Kyle, to conduct house-to-house inquiries, and to contact the boy's friends and relatives.

Specialist search teams also scoured open land supported by the force helicopter while other officers trawled through hours of CCTV footage.

Urging members of the public to think back to yesterday and consider whether they had seen Kyle, Spellman added: "He may have been on a bus or playing in a local park.

"Anyone who thinks they have spotted Kyle should call us immediately. We just want to know that he is safe and well and want to get him back home with his mum who is worried sick."

Kyle, who lives in Gilbert Road, Smethwick, and is known to visit the Cape Hill and Bearwood areas, is described as 5ft and of medium build.

He has very short hair with a pattern shaved into it and was wearing dark blue jeans, black trainers and a grey hoody when he was last seen.

Anyone with information is urged to call police on the non-emergency number 101 immediately and speak to Sandwell police.
