Angelina Jolie's father Jon Voight has told American magazine US Weekly that he is "very happy" that Brad Pitt is engaged to his daughter.
Angelina was spotted wearing a dazzling diamond on her ring finger during a family visit to Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Chinese Galleries on Wednesday.
The Hollywood jeweller who designed Angelina's ring, Robert Procop, spoke to US Weekly to confirm the rumours, saying that Angie's ring was designed in collaboration with Brad, her partner of seven years.
Brad Pitt's spokesperson later confirmed the rumours.

Angelina Jolie has had a rocky relationship with her father in the past, with the two having been estranged since 2009
The couple have six children together, who have reportedly been begging "mummy and daddy" to do the decent thing and get married. Brad and Angelina got together in 2005 on the set of movie Mr and Mrs Smith.
The ring is rumoured to have cost around $250,000, with Brad being "heavily involved" in the design.
