Boxing Clever: TV For The Weekend

Friday

Episodes - BBC2, 10pm

Episodes slipped onto our screens last year, with the unique selling point of a fading TV star Matt LeBlanc played by… Matt LeBlanc. As the Friends alumnus told various interviewers last week, this could have been creepy for him, but he felt in safe hands with his former Friends producer and the BBC.

His leap of faith paid off. LeBlanc returns to the second series, Golden Globe for Best Actor in hand (an award that never arrived on his shelf when he had to share screen time with five others and a haircut). Can he continue this return charge with series 2 – starting tonight on BBC2?

Unreported World - Channel 4, 7.30pm

This episode in the current affairs documentary series explores the Congo and its gangs and wrestlers. In the heart of the capital city Kinshasa, the world of professional wrestling is uncovered. Reporter Seyi Rhodes and director Wael Dabbous learn that some of the stars practise black magic, and uncover allegations that many fighters are involved in gang violence and political intimidation.

Saturday

Britain's Got Talent Final - ITV, 7.30pm

Britain's Got Talent comes to a head on Saturday night as the 10 semi-finalists battle it out for the big prize - a chance to perform for the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance and £500,000 cash.

The past week has seen five tense live semi-finals full of weird, wacky and wonderful contestants and now just 10 acts with unique talents remain.

Judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden have just about used up all their cliched feedback lines and now there's little room left for mistakes from the contestants.

The Voice - BBC1, 6.10pm

Team Tom and Team Will take the stage again - first in group performances with their coaches and then individually. The night will be overshadowed by BGT but The Voice contestants still have it all to play for.

Sunday

Coast - BBC2, 9pm

This new series sees presenters island hop from Orkney to the Isle of Wight and then back up north to Shetland, investigating the lifestyles, history and legends of Britain and its people. Expeditions include Nick Crane's to the Fair Isles, where he learns how the small community has become so well established.
