A massive dust storm in Phoenix, Arizona, was dramatically captured by time-lapse photography.
The footage has proved a huge hit on YouTube with over 15,000 views so far.
Taken on Saturday 16 June, it begins with a view of a row houses nestling beneath clear-blue skies.
But then the monster-dust storm rolls over them, almost blocking out the sun altogether.
It was moving at 40mph, according to tusconcitizen.com and reduced visibility to a quarter of a mile, wreaking havoc on the roads.
There were four car collisions as drivers struggled to see - but luckily no deaths or serious injuries.
Dust storms are common in the drier parts of the US, sometimes reaching a staggering 20,000 feet (6,100m) in height.
