Amanda Holden Hides Face With A Crash Helmet After Liz Jones' 'Daily Mail' Attack On Her Looks (PICS)

Amanda Hides After Liz Jones Attack

After Daily Mail columnist Liz Jones launched another of her scathing attacks on the lovely Amanda Holden, we're really hoping the Britain's Got Talent judge hasn't taken any of her comments to heart.

The star was outside Radio 2 earlier today wearing a crash helmet following the journalist's comments that her face looked airbrushed in real life, comparing it to a Barbie doll.

The helmet remained firmly in place, even after hopping off the back of the bike, and remained when she left the studios later.

In a her weekly column published yesterday, Liz unleashed a tirade of abuse against Amanda, suggesting she had undergone a range of procedures which made her look "other worldly".

"Amanda doesn’t look young," she wrote, "She just looks other-worldly. An alien whose life is not writ on her face, because her face is suddenly a blank canvas.

"Wind back to 1991, as a contestant on Blind Date, and she reminds me of Renee Zellweger as Bridget Jones: a bit plump, in High Street clothes. Certainly not the someone who now reminds me of a drag artist, with a forehead so smooth it resembles a party balloon.

"Her skin would probably squeak were you to run a finger over it."

She concluded: "I feel sorry for her. Who knows what demons she nurses, what tragedies she wants to erase?"

Amanda later took to Twitter to hit back at Liz, saying she need to learn to love herself.

"Liz Jones. You need to start loving yourself before it's too late#justsaying!" she tweeted.

"Liz Jones should perhaps take a look at the pics of me, my bags and wrinkles, freckles and normal lips at Ascot last week!"
