Tortoise In Love is the simple story of a gardener in a big house named Tom who falls in love with a beautiful Polish au pair called Anya, but is agonisingly slow to make a move. So the whole village gets together to speed things up.
In the exclusive clip above, Tom (played by Tom Mitchelson) in his new role as a gardener at Kingston Bagpuize House, learns a few life lessons about tea and biscuits.
The 800 residents of Kingston Bagpuize in Oxfordshire were all involved in the making of the film, after local writer Guy Browning suggested they should help him realise his big screen dream by becoming financiers, extras and even stars in his rom-com.
The local WI organised catering on a vast scale and props, driving, costumes, make-up, and a thousand other logistical tasks were all undertaken by a highly organised and frighteningly motivated army of villagers.
Three years after Browning made the unusual suggestion on a snowy day, the film was selected to have a premiere in the newly re-opened London's Leicester Square in May and almost the entire population of the Oxfordshire village where the film was made descended on the Square for the world premiere.
The film is released in cinemas 13 July.
