Daniel Radcliffe's 'The Woman In Black' Is The Year's Most Complained-About Film, According To BBFC

Daniel Radcliffe The Most Complained About? Strange, But True

Daniel Radcliffe's first post-Harry Potter outing on the big screen is the most complained about film of the year so far, according to the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC).

Daniel Radcliffe complained about? Surely not, and yet...

The Woman in Black, which stars Radcliffe as a young lawyer visiting a remote village terrorised by a vengeful ghost, has attracted 120 complaints directly to the BBFC so far.

That is triple the number of people who complained about the Oscar-winning Black Swan which was the most complained about film of 2011.

Natalie Portman's film Black Swan drew 40 complaints in all

There were 40 complaints about the film which starred Natalie Portman as a ballet dancer and Vincent Cassel as her director.

BBFC Director David Cooke said some of the complaints were about a lesbian sex scene, but others were sparked by "confounded expectations" about the film's dark subject matter which surprised some viewers who thought they were going to see a film about dance.

The most complained about film of the last 10 years was Batman: The Dark Knight.

There were more than 300 complaints about the 2008 film which starred Christian Bale as the masked superhero and Heath Ledger as The Joker.
