Simon Cowell has ripped up The X Factor rulebook after becoming angry that too many talented wannabes in their late twenties were being overlooked.
He has changed the upper age limits for the Boys, Girls and Groups categories from 25 to 28 and the fourth class will now be the Over-28s.
