Wet weather is a terrible thing but it can sometimes be beautiful.
Earlier this week, a sudden storm shook New York bringing rain, hail, thunder and lighting, but it also provided an opportunity for some incredible pictures.
Perhaps the best photo was taken from 10,000ft over New York not by a seasoned photographer but by former American footballer Dhani Jones.
Jones' incredible snap was caught using the Instagram app on his phone, taken from a flight leaving the city, and posted on Twitter.

"The power of mother nature!" Jones tweeted, before warning the New York Times Twitter account of what was coming.
Jones then spent the next few hours fielding requests from media agencies to use the photo.
Jones, who spent 11 years in the NFL as a linebacker, playing for the New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles and Cincinnati Bengals, now spends his time as a veritable polymath.
He is a serial entrepreneur, has started his own tie company, runs philanthropy projects, presents television shows, creates and sells original 3d art and photographs, writes poetry, plays the piano and saxophone and even "hosts a Julliard Doctoral student at his home to soothe him with classical music."
