Police have launched a search for two young sisters who went missing after they went out to play last night.
Liana Boyd, 11, and her eight-year-old sister Teigan Boyd reportedly went out to play in Whitworth Park in Manchester at 8pm yesterday.
Their mother went out to search for them shortly afterwards but was unable to find them and called police.
Liana Boyd's family are 'fraught with worry'
The sisters are both white with brown hair.
Liana is about 5ft 2ins tall and was wearing a brown cardigan, black top and black leggings when she went missing.
Teigan was wearing denim shorts and a green top.
Anyone with information can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Chief Superintendent Rob Potts said: "Clearly, the family is fraught with worry that these girls have spent the night away from home.
"We have launched a police investigation where we are pulling out all the stops to find them safe and well.
"We are in the early, critical stages of our inquiries and we would urge anyone with information to call us as soon as possible.
"Whitworth Park is surrounded by busy roads and last night's weather would have meant that the park was busy.
"We need anyone who may have seen the girls to call us as this would be vital to our inquiries."
