Video Games Suffer 'Worst Sales Week Ever'

Interest in the Games might be at an all time high - but games as a whole aren't keeping our interest, new figures suggest.

UK video game retailers have suffered their worst week in history after sales dipped to the lowest total on record.

Just £8.4m of boxed software was sold in the UK, MCV reported.

While that total does not include download games or App stores, it is the smallest figure since records began.

Just 394,000 games were sold in the past seven days.

The UKIE/GfK chart said that the number one game was Sega's official London 2012 tie-in.
