Will.I.Am Using Twitter For Missing Car Hunt

Rapper will.i.am is using Twitter.com to help find his car after it went missing from a parking lot in Los Angeles.

The Black Eyed Peas star hosted his album launch party in the city on Monday night, but was fuming when he discovered his white, custom-made, futuristic supercar had disappeared from outside The Avalon hotel.

He immediately told followers of his plight, writing, "My car was stolen... what the f**k... Where is my f**king car...??? This isn't funny anymore."

The rapper's representative later played down the report and insisted the star "has his car" - but will.i.am returned to Twitter later on Tuesday to reveal his luxury motor had still not been returned.

He told fans he was wary of getting the police involved as he thought the incident may just be a prank - and he is hoping his followers will help him get the car back.

In a series of posts on his page, will.i.am writes, "Just landed in Portland... and still no news about my car's whereabouts... where's my car.

"I'm not going to the police... spread the word via tweets in case I'm getting Punk'd. I don't want to waste tax dollars on pranks.

"There (sic) going to find the people responsible for this... tracking device."
