Rachel Weisz was yesterday reported to have been cut from director Terrence Malick's new film.
The reclusive director is notorious for secretly controlling his projects, but also celebrated for getting strong performances out of his actors.
Alas, it seems Rachel Weisz will not enjoy that privilege, after her performance in To The Wonder was left on the cutting room floor ahead of its debut at the Venice Film Festival.
Ben Affleck and Rachel McAdams will both be in the film, but alas no Ms Weisz, who recently gave an interview to Italian magazine La Stampa, saying, "I had the experience of working with him (Malick) but I will not have the pleasure of seeing my work."
Weisz can console herself, however, that she is in good company with a litany of actors who worked, were paid but never got to see themselves on the big screen.
