Nokia Hints At New Augmented Reality Tech Ahead Of Next Gen Phone Release

Nokia has released a teaser video hinting at new augmented reality features for its Windows Phone devices.

The beleaguered company is expected to release the next generation of its Lumia Windows 8 phones tomorrow in New York - and ahead of the event released the teasers to trail its announcement.

In the short clip, a woman is seen walking down a city street as information is displayed about shops, products and reviews in mid air beside her.

Unless Nokia has access to a time machine we don't expect anything quite that cool to be announced - but rather an update to its City Lens augmented reality search and recommendation app.

Greater integration with social networks is one of the features speculated to be on the cards.

Nokia's conference starts tomorrow at 3pm UK time and we'll have all the best news as it happens.
