Kate Middleton Topless Photos Furore Continues As Duke And Duchess Travel To Borneo

Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge continued their Diamond Jubilee tour of the Far East, as the furore over the French gossip magazine which published topless pictures of Kate continued.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited a rainforest in Borneo, going on a canopy walkway and being hoisted up a 130ft rainforest tree at the Borneo Rainforest Research Center in Danum Valley.

The couple smiled as they took in the scenery, amid reports Italian Gossip magazine Chi is planning a 26-page photo special of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on holiday in the south of France.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have launched legal action for breach of privacy against the publishers of Closer magazine in France after it published topless pictures of Kate.

The photographs were taken last week while the couple were staying in Provence at a chateau owned by Lord Linley, the Queen's nephew, ahead of their trip.

Their treatment was compared with the worst experiences of Diana, Princess of Wales at the hands of the paparazzi, in a strongly worded statement issued by Clarence House.

Speaking to the AFP news agency, Laurence Pieau said: “These photos are not in the least shocking. They show a young woman sunbathing topless, like the millions of women you see on beaches.”
