The craze in question? It's the quest to perform the perfect splits - and super-bendy men, women and dogs (well, one dog, at least) have been posting their efforts on the internet for all to see. So it's basically the new "planking" - except it's a little trickier. And it's far more likely to tear your trousers.
The trend began after one flexible student posted a snap of herself mid-splits on Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo. And before too long, everyone was doing it.
