Bradley Wiggins was back on the bike just nine days after he was knocked over by a van.

It was initially feared Wiggins, 32, was thought to have suffered broken ribs and a dislocated finger as he was thrown off his bike near his home in Lancashire last week. However he suffered only minor injuries, including bruises to his right hand and ribs.

And the seven-time Olympic gold medallist and Tour de France champion gave a thumbs up rather than the finger for the cameras as he made a swift return to the saddle.
