Former 'Coronation Street' star Helen Flanagan has come under fire for uploading a sexy snap of her posing with a pistol on the first day of funerals stemming from the school massacre in Connecticut.
America is in mourning for the 20 children and six adults slain by 20-year-old gunman Adam Lanza at the Sandy Hook school last Friday.
Some of the tragic victims were laid to rest on Monday, but the shocking events across the pond didn't stop 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' star Flanagan from re-uploading a snap of her posing in lacy bra and knickers with a gun to her head.
Alongside the snap was the caption, "Head f**k."
The picture has caused upset in Newtown, where the massacre happened. One parent of a child who attends the school told The Sun: “It’s just ignorant. When the eyes of the world are on what happened here, to be posing with a gun like that is insensitive and stupid.”
Another local resident added: "This is plain wrong. You can’t do this. It looks like she is just trying to get her name out there.”
The picture has since been deleted from her Twitter account, but it remains on photo-sharing website lockerz.com.
Helen is yet to comment on the backlash.
