Newport County And Lincoln City Involved In Bizarre Twitter Transfer Row

Rio Ferdinand endorsed a description of Ashley Cole as a "choc ice", Cole called the FA a "bunch of tw*ts" and now after the players come the clubs. Because Lincoln City and Newport County have got themselves unprofessionally involved in a bizarre Twitter row over the loan of Jake Thomson.

County tweeted to "confirm that Jake Thomson has joined Lincoln City on a month's loan" at 2pm, adding a link which directed users to a picture of the player in a Newport shirt on the club's Facebook page.

Then 81 minutes later and against all good judgement and sensibility whoever was in charge of the Lincoln account replied...

Called out as "unprofessional" by a user, the Lincoln account retorted "Surely the unprofessional approach is announcing a loan move that hasn't even happened yet???"
