Jennifer Metcalfe has spoken out with her side of the story about her split from Dancing On Ice star Sylvain Longchambon, saying he ditched her on Christmas Day.
Speaking to The Sun, the Hollyoaks actress explained that she has been left heartbroken by the split and said it almost feels like there has been a personal bereavement.
"It's like a death. I feel gutted. It was the worst Christmas ever. You grieve for all the plans you had in your head. It is a grieving. When you cut someone out of your life like that it's pretty harsh," Jen said.
The news that he had found love with his new Dancing on Ice partner Samia Ghadie, and that she had also left her partner to begin the relationship, came as a big shock to her as she was already making plans for the future and had thought getting married and having children was on the cards.
"Our relationship was great, a really good two years. Marriage and kids were in vision. I loved the guy unconditionally inside out. He adored me in every way," Jennifer explained.
But she started to have her suspicions and confronted Sylvain about the nature of his relationship with Samia, telling him she could see that there was something going on. "He said 'No, not at all,' and he lied a little bit and that's not fair after two years."
He then called her in the early hours of Christmas morning to tell her it was over between then, leaving Jen to but on a brave face when she appeared on live TV only hours later when she appeared on Gordon Ramsay's Christmas Cookalong.
With the new series of Dancing on Ice set to begin, only time will tell what the viewers think about Samia and Sylvain's relationship.
