A woman who died after being found collapsed in the snow could be "a tragic accident", according to the police.
The woman, believed to be in her 20s, was discovered by a man walking his dog in Church Meadow, Deal, Kent.
Her body was found at around 7.30am on Sunday morning.
Police told HuffPost UK she was pronounced dead at the scene and her death was probably accidental.
A police spokesman said in a statement: "The woman's death is not being treated as suspicious but it is unexplained.
"There are other possibilities we are looking out but one theory is that this is a tragic accident where a young woman was on her way home from a night out, but she didn't make it to where she was staying.
"We don't know if that was because of the cold, or she slipped or she was drunk or she became ill."
"A post-mortem examination will be held later this week."
Tributes on Facebook named her as 25-year-old Bernadette Lucy Lee, a former pupil of Walmer School.
A message was left on a tribute group by "family and friends."
It read: "Goodnight bernadette .. You're one of the Angels now.. You're a star shinning bright in the sky .. You're the spirit guide that watches over us and looks after us..
"You were a truly loved girl and you have left a hole in so many people's hearts... Hope you're having a massive party up there... We love you so much bern... Sleep tight and keep snug in heaven.."
