Apple Cuts Laptop Prices As Mac Sales Fall

In what's either a show of pre-Valentine's Day goodwill or an attempt to give ailing Mac sales a shot in the arm, Apple has cut the prices of its MacBook Pro laptops.

In a minor refresh of its notebook line-up, it dropped the price of its 13-inch MacBook with Retina Display by £200 - from £1,449 to £1,249 for the 128GB model.

The 256GB Retina Pro is now £1,449 and comes with a boosted 2.6GHz processor.

The larger 15-inch Retina Pro has an improved 2.4GHz processor, and the £2,299 maxed-out version comes with a 2.7GHz processor and 16GB of RAM.

Meanwhile the 13-inch Macbook air with 256GB has dropped to £1,199.

Apple recently announced a drop in Mac sales, despite growth in its iPhone and iPad revenue.
