Hugh Grant has become a father for the second time with his girlfriend Tinglan Hong, announcing on Twitter that his daughter has now got a baby brother to play with.
The Four Weddings and Funeral star, who has only recently joined Twitter as @HackedOffHugh, posted to his 76,000 followers: "In answer to some journos. Am thrilled my daughter now has a brother.
"Adore them both to an uncool degree. They have a fab mum."
Despite being notoriously private, Grant joined Twitter in November ahead of the publication of the Leveson inquiry, saying that 'it was a chance in a lifetime.'
The actor has turned campaigner as part of the inquiry into press ethics, joining the board of Hacked Off, the group lobbying for 'a free and accountable press.'
He has been outspoken in his condemnation of various news outlets saying in evidence submitted to the Leveson Inquiry: "There has been a section of our press that has become allowed to become toxic over the last 20 or 30 years and its main tactic is by bullying and intimidation and blackmail."
Grant was awarded a "substantial" sum in damages by now defunct paper News of The World after settling a phone hacking claim. The undisclosed amount was donated to the Hacked Off campaign.
His daughter Tabitha was born in September 2011.
