Not only is Google Street View incredibly useful but - with a bit of clever tweaking - it is also obscenely beautiful and hypnotic.
And to prove it, this is a video clip of a project by Teehan+Lax Labs called Google Street View Hyperlapse.
Using the app is easy, you just select two places on Google Earth that are connected by Street View and Hyperlapse does the rest.
The makers say they were originally only using Street View as a guide to developing the software "but quickly discovered that it could be used as the source material".
The results are amazing, although if you create one be selective of the route you choose.
The open expansive skies of the Florida lend themselves well to a video.
The traffic clogged and grey roads of London do not.
