A fan of Star Wars, lasers and potentially dangerous experiments has posted a video of a homemade lightsaber.
And yes, it can burn through stuff - terrifyingly well.
Highlighted by TheNextWeb on Monday (during a traditional lull for tech news), the video shows YouTube user styropyro testing his 3W handheld laser on a variety of objects, and burning through them all.
The laser is powered by two laptop batteries, and while it probably can't slice off an upstart Jedi's hand in one swipe, it's a pretty dangerous beast.
Styropyro writes on his YouTube page:
"I usually try to refrain from using the term "lightsaber" when referring to my lasers but there really isn't much else out there to describe this laser."
