Actor and singer Billy Bob Thornton has given an extraordinary indication of how close he still is to his ex-wife Angelina Jolie.
The 57-year-old today spoke of how Jolie came to him with news of her very personal health issue.

Jolie wrote the foreword to Billy Bob's memoir last year, and he has spoken of his close friendship with both Angelina and her partner Brad Pitt.
Their marriage was known for its rather bizarre shows of affection, such as the wearing of lockets containing each other's blood.
Jolie revealed in May that she had undergone a double mastectomy to reduce her risk of developing breast cancer.
