This morning we had the pleasure of meeting the charming Alice Temperley at the launch of her new line Somerset at John Lewis. The quintessentially British affair saw punters queuing outside the Oxford Circus store from 7.30am this morning, while Alice served them cups of tea in bone china cups.
Named after Temperley's home county, this is the first high street collaboration for the royally appointed fashion label. Temperley's design DNA can be seen throughout the collection with its blend of English country heritage, romantic ruffles and military flourishes. The 60-piece collection includes accessories - a first for the British designer. The gold-toed black suede pumps get the thumbs up from us.
