In the world of fashion, if Anna Wintour doesn't approve, it just won't stick and Vivienne Westwood is the latest designer to face Wintour's tough but honest opinions.
A 40ft sculpture of Westwood was due to take centre stage at the 2013 Met Ball to celebrate this year's Punk: Chaos To Couture exhibition. As Westwood is often credited as the inventor of the punk movement, the nude statue was meant to be a fitting tribute to the designer, but not in Wintour's eyes.
According to the Mail on Sunday, Wintour described the statue as a "needless distraction" and his since scrapped plans for the interactive artwork.
So - is Wintour's decision harsh? Or is this just another example of a lady who knows how to get what she wants? Sounds like fashion editor might have some making up to do between now and the opening night of the exhibition on 6 May.
