It has been confirmed that Christopher Kane will step down from his role as co-creative director of Versace's sister line, Versus.
The brand announced the following in a press release today: "Under Donatella Versace's creative leadership, there will be collaborations with young designers, stylists, and creatives from different walks of life, to develop capsule collections, co-branding projects, limited editions. This pool of young creative talents will replace the collaboration with Christopher Kane who will focus on the development of his own line".
This is the latest breaking news in the moving and shaking of the fashion industry, which follows on from speculation that Kane is set to take the helm at Balenciaga. However, a spokesperson for Kane denied the reports to Vogue this morning by stating, "Rumours surrounding Christopher Kane's appointment as creative director of Balenciaga are unfounded".
